In a heartfelt nod to their commitment to meaningful change, Time Magazine has included Prince William and Princess Catherine in its Top 100 Philanthropy Awards.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were commended for their efforts to “modernise royal philanthropy”, particularly through their focus on social innovation and strategic partnerships with the corporate sector.

“Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are less concerned with cultural preservation and more attuned to social issues, tackling homelessness and rural mental health through their Royal Foundation and spotlighting innovative solutions to climate change through the Earthshot Prize, an environmental award founded by William in 2020,” Time wrote.

“Crucial to the Waleses’ approach is aligning social imperatives with sound business strategies and building corporate alliances,” the magazine added.

The latest honour comes shortly after the royal couple marked their 14th wedding anniversary with a relaxed two-day visit to the Scottish Isles of Mull and Iona, part of the Hebrides archipelago off the country’s west coast.

As Prince of Wales and heir to the throne, William also holds the Scottish title of Lord of the Isles and has often spoken of his deep personal connection to the region.

“Scotland is incredibly important to me and will always have a special place in my heart,” he said back in 2021.

“George, Charlotte and Louis already know how dear Scotland is to both of us … We have no doubt they will grow up sharing our love and connection to Scotland.”

The couple received a warm welcome as they arrived in the picturesque town of Tobermory, known for its colourful waterfront houses. They visited a community hub, strolled through an artisan market, chatted with stallholders, and posed for photos with locals.

To mark the milestone, they shared a photo on social media site X that thanked locals for the “warm welcome”.

Following their public engagements, the couple are reported to have spent their anniversary in a secluded self-catered cottage on Mull, renowned for its dramatic, breathtaking scenery.
