Meghan Markle has shared a touching tribute to her daughter Princess Lilibet in celebration of her fourth birthday — posting two rare photographs that offer a meaningful glimpse into her closely guarded family life.
Known for keeping their children largely out of the public eye, Meghan and her husband Prince Harry have released only a handful of images of Lilibet and her older brother Prince Archie over the years.
This latest post is particularly significant as it includes the first photo in which Lilibet’s face is even partially visible, giving royal fans their clearest look at the young princess to date.
The first image shows Meghan and Lilibet sitting together in a small boat, with Meghan lovingly wrapping her arms around her daughter.
The second photo is a throwback to the day of Lilibet’s birth in June 2021. It shows the newborn nestled on Meghan’s chest in the immediate moments after delivery
“Happy birthday to our beautiful girl!” she wrote alongside the images.
“Four years ago today she came into our lives – and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”

The heartwarming birthday photos follow Meghan’s recent anniversary tribute to her husband, Prince Harry, in which she thanked him for giving her “a lifetime of stories” as the couple celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary.
Sharing a sentimental mood board on Instagram, Meghan included a series of personal snapshots — featuring their children, Archie and Lilibet — alongside highlights from their journey together.
“Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories. Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story – we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!,” she captioned the post.

The photo collection included everything from early selfies taken in London, to deeply personal moments like Archie’s ultrasound scan and their memorable trip to Botswana. It also featured images from their 2018 wedding day, including a handwritten lyric sheet of Ben E. King’s Stand by Me, which was performed during their ceremony at St George’s Chapel.
Among the previously unseen details was a photo of Meghan’s personal coat of arms, designed with the College of Arms and formally approved by the late Queen Elizabeth upon Meghan’s marriage into the royal family.
