Julie Bishop sparkles while hanging out with Princess Beatrice and other famous friends

Julie Bishop has proven she’s got friends in pretty high places after she was seen mingling with some rather famous faces and royalty.

The 66-year-old former Foreign Minister turned fashion icon looked as dazzling as ever as she appeared in a flurry of photos taken from the book launch for Dr Gene Sherman’s The Spoken Object.

Bishop took to Instagram to share her latest outing, sharing photos of herself posing alongside the Queen’s granddaughter, Princess Beatrice, and Hollywood actress Isla Fisher, and former UK Prime Minister David Cameron.

“The Princess, the Prime Minister and the Actor ???? A simply extraordinary evening for @sherman_gene book launch ‘The Spoken Object’,” Bishop captioned her post.

For the star-studded event, Bishop donned a sparkly, silver sequence Max Mara mini dress which also featured a high-neck and long sequence-covered sleeves.

She paired her glitzy frock with diamond crystal ball earrings and kept her short blond hair in its signature coiffed style.

Fans of the former politician quickly flocked to the comment section of her post to share their approval of her latest look, saying she “outsparkled them all”.

“I hope someone votes you the most stylish woman in 2022..simply stunning,” one fan wrote.

“And none of them are a patch on that frock.”

“Dazzling us again. Love your sense of style. You’re making everyone else look a little drab.”

This isn’t the first time Bishop was spotted hanging out with royalty either. Earlier this year, she and former partner David Panton attended a special dinner with then-Prince Charles at St James’ Palace in honour of Charles’ national charity.

Bishop’s latest outing follows her recent appearance at the Sherman Centre for Cultural Ideas Fashion Hub event at London’s Design Museum.

As a keynote speaker for the event, Bishop had all eyes on her as she rocked a hot pink leather mini dress with balloon sleeves, sparkling heels and pink diamante earrings.

More than just a fun look, Bishop’s frock was a statement in itself as designer Leo Lin had created the dress to represent “the new era of femininity laced with strength, fearlessness, and confidence.”

Since her shocking split with longtime partner David Panton, Bishop has been living it up and embracing her single life.
