In the world of tennis, few names evoke as much excitement as that of Ash Barty.

Following an impressive career, the Aussie tennis sensation left fans and fellow players stunned when she announced her retirement from the sport in 2022.

Since then, the tennis community has been eagerly awaiting any sign of her potential return to the court.

Now buzz surrounding Barty’s potential return has reached a fever pitch after a source close to Barty dropped subtle hints about her possible return to the sport.

As reported by New Idea, the insider claimed that Barty might be contemplating a potential return at one of the prestigious quartet of Grand Slam events slated for 2024.

“Anyone who knows Ash knows she is capable of anything!” the source claimed.

“If Ash is to return, it’s now or never – if it’s not the Australian Open in January, then she will probably set her sights on Wimbledon in July.

“Who knows, by the time Hayden celebrates his first birthday, his mum may have added another Grand Slam trophy to her collection!”

Although one should approach rumours about Barty’s comeback to the court cautiously, fans were recently thrilled as the sports sensation made a heartwarming return to the sport, offering some tennis lessons alongside her newborn baby boy, Hayden.

Hayden sported an adorable tennis-themed onesie and clutched a miniature racquet, perfectly suited for the occasion while Barty playfully noted that her little one seemed more inclined to sleep the day away than observe her in action.

“Back to red ball,” she wrote in a post to Instagram.

“Coaches seemed happy enough. Spectator just enjoyed a snooze in the shade.”
