The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid tribute to their dads over the weekend with two beautiful photos, as families across the United Kingdom and United States of America celebrated Father’s Day. While in Australia Father’s Day is celebrated in September, in America and the UK it’s held much earlier, this year on June 21.
The royal couple led the tributes on Sunday, taking to social media to mark the special day by sharing two gorgeous family snaps on their official Instagram page. In the first photo, which was taken by the duchess, Prince William and his father Prince Charles can be seen smiling happily together, with Charles leaning into his son for a comforting hug. While in the second a young Catherine is perched on her dad Michael Middleton’s knee.
Royal fans were delighted with the photographs, with many saying how happy they were to see the gorgeous snaps of the family. Meanwhile, others noted how similar Catherine looked to her children Prince George and Prince Louis when she was younger.
