Fans are both shocked and concerned after Sharon Stone, the iconic Golden Globe winner, posted a photo of her black eye on social media.

The 66-year-old actress had been sharing glimpses of her luxurious holiday in Turkey on Instagram, showcasing her time at a high-end hotel.

In one of the recent photos, Stone is seen casually posing in the hotel’s elevator, dressed in stylish resort wear, with her bruised eye clearly visible.

Despite the injury, the glamorous star made an effort to reassure her fans.

“This trip has been tough; but I’m tougher,” she wrote.

Fans quickly responded to the shocking pic, expressing concern and best wishes for her recovery.

“Hope you can recover soon,” one wrote.

“Wow … remind me to tell you how much I adore you!!”

“You badasss!” wrote another.

“Dear lord!!! I hate to see the other guy. Hope you are ok.”

Stone followed up the post with a video to Instagram where she explained what had happened to her.

In the video, posted near the hotel’s pool, the Casino actor reassured fans that her injury was merely the result of her midnight wanderings and the search for a convenient toilet.

“I’ve been in so many hotels in so many countries that I got up in the middle of the night to pee and didn’t know where I was, and smacked my face on the marble,” she said.

“No, nobody did anything to me, and yes, I’m just fine, and I’m having a great time.

“I’m being welcomed very beautifully on my trip everywhere that I’ve gone. I’m having just the greatest time.”

It is not the first time Stone has left fans concerned for her well-being.

In 2022, Stone underwent a procedure for a tumour that needed to be removed.

She took to social media to warn her fans of the need for a second opinion when getting medical treatment.

“Just had another misdiagnosis and incorrect procedure,” Stone wrote in a message to Twitter, sharing how she had two epidurals but still had “worsening pain”.

After going for a second opinion, Stone learned that she had a “large fibroid tumour that must come out”.

This came after she suffered a near-fatal brain hemorage and stroke in 2001, which led her to re-evaluate her relationship with cosmetic procedures.

“I had to have over 300 shots of Botox and filler to make the one side of my face come up again,” she told Vogue Arabia.

The Golden Globe award-winning actress then explained how her stroke made her realise these procedures went from being a “cute luxury to some kind of massive, painful neurological need”.

However, Stone’s health nightmares didn’t end there. After undergoing surgery to remove benign tumours the actress woke up and found her breasts had been enlarged without her consent because her doctor thought she “would look better with bigger, ‘better’ boobs”.

She has since gotten the implants removed and has become a vocal advocate for women’s health.

While raising awareness for the Women’s Brain Health Initiative she spoke about the complications she had dealing with male doctors.

“When I was in the hospital, they thought I was faking it. On day nine of my brain bleed, they told me they were going to send me home because they thought I was faking it … Now I feel usually much safer with a female doctor,” she said.
