In her announcement, Dion delighted her fans by sharing a few stills from the forthcoming film. The first one showed her and Outlander star Sam Heughan sitting across from each other engrossed in conversation, while the next shot showed Heughan having dinner with former beauty queen Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

“See you at the movies!” the caption reads. “Celine is starring alongside @priyankachopra and @samheughan and releasing new music for the romantic comedy LOVE AGAIN (new title!) coming to movie theatres MAY 12 (new date!).”

Per Deadline, the plot of the upcoming movie focuses on journalist Rob Burn (Heughan) and his search for the illusive, newly widowed Mira Ray (Chopra Jonas).

Love Again will mark the singer’s highly anticipated return to the spotlight after an extended break from the public eye due to persistent health concerns relating to muscle spasms.

“I was really hoping that I’d be good to go by now, but I suppose I just have to be more patient and follow the regimen that my doctors are prescribing,” Dion said when she first announced the news.

The singer had previously admitted she was “convinced” fans would be “so fed up” with the cancellations as she revealed she was doing everything in her power to return to the “level” that is required “to give 100%” during her live performances.

“And I’m so sorry that we have to change our tour plans for Europe once again,” she said at the time.

“First we had to move the shows because of the pandemic, now this is my health issues that is causing us to postpone some shows and unfortunately, we have to cancel some too.

“I wanted you to know, that I’m sorry for this news. I know you’ve all waited so long for the concerts and I appreciate your loyalty.”

It would appear that her fans’ loyalty has indeed paid off as it now seems that Dion is back from her performance hiatus and is making some big career moves.
