Music icon Rod Stewart has melted hearts across the world after a heartwarming snapshot of an adorable moment with his newborn grandson was shared on social media.

The rock legend’s daughter, Ruby, took to her Instagram on Tuesday, July 18 to share the touching snapshot capturing the 78-year-old with her 10-week-old son, Otis, nestled on his lap.

In the heartwarming moment, Stewart lovingly planted a gentle kiss on top of little Otis’ head. Accompanying the photo, Ruby affectionately referred to her dad as “Papa Stew (Silly Grandad).”

The Stewart clan was no doubt overjoyed when daughter Ruby welcomed her son Otis on Tuesday, May 9 but the good news didn’t end there with Stewart’s son Liam also welcoming his son Loiue only days later on Friday, May 12.

During his meeting with the new additions, he shared photos of the heartwarming moment with his fans on his Instagram page.

In one photo, a beaming Stewart cradled little Louie in his arms, who is wearing a blue onesie. In a second photo, a still-smiling Stewart holds a sleeping Otis in his arms.

‘Happy Grandad,” Stewart captioned the image.

Louis’ full name is Louie Mark Roderick Stewart, with his middle name serving as a heartfelt tribute to his grandad.

With his additional grandad duties, Stewart will undoubtedly have to remain in tip-top shape to keep up with the little ones which shouldn’t be a problem given his rigorous workout regime.

Stewart recently lifted the curtain on his well-guarded workout regimen, shedding light on the strategies that have helped him remain rock star fit well into older age.

During his downtime, Stewart can often be found at home in his swimming pool, engaging in underwater SAS training, a program designed to enhance athletes’ readiness for the British Special Air Service.

“You have a big rubber brick, and you’ve got to swim the length of the pool and push it the length of the pool, on the bottom of the pool,” he told People.

“It’s really wonderful. Well, sometimes it’s not wonderful because I don’t want to do it, but I’d say it’s fun.”

Even amidst his demanding tour schedule, Stewart remains committed to his physical well-being. The legendary musician ensures that he incorporates training or workouts into his routine four days a week, engaging in activities such as running on his personal track or indulging in a fun game of soccer.

“I work out extensively,” he said.

“But I’m generally very fit. I’ve played soccer all my life, and I don’t smoke. It’s funny, critics keep saying on this tour, ‘Oh, he’s gone off the stage to have a rest.’ No I haven’t! I’ve gone off the stage because I’m wringing wet. I’m so bloody fit, you won’t believe it.”
