Samantha Armytage has released three stunning new photos from her New Year’s Eve wedding, giving fans a closer look at the intimate ceremony. The Sunrise presenter, 44, married Richard Lavender, 61, on his property at Bowral in the NSW Southern Highlands.

The new snaps show Samantha and Richard looking completely loved up holding hands while walking through the vast paddock. Another photo shows the newlyweds gazing into each other’s eyes as they stand in the stables of Richard’s property, as well as a fantastic shot of Samantha and Richard walking side by side as they head off into the distance.

Fans were also given a better look at the presenter’s stunning wedding dress, which was white with long sleeves and fell just below her knee. It was all about the details for the journalist who accessorised the simple dress with a gorgeous white ribbon tied into a pretty bow in her hair and sparkly closed-toed Jimmy Choo heels.

Samantha captioned the snaps with the couple’s wedding date of December 31, 2020 while crediting the photographer for her work. Fans and friends of the morning show presenter shared their kind words for the new couple in the comments.

Co-host of Channel Seven’s The Morning Show, Kylie Gillies wrote: “You look so happy. And this is despite wearing Jimmy Choos in a paddock. Love and light to you both, forever and ever xx”. While fellow media personality Deborah Hutton wrote: “So gorgeous Sam I’m extremely happy for you both. Congrats and move forward together with so much love”.

Angie Asimus from Channel Seven wrote: “So beautiful Sam. What a magic day xx”, and racing royalty and journalist Kate Waterhouse said Samantha looked “stunning”.

Meanwhile fans complimented the beautiful landscape for the wedding photos with one writing: “And exhale … so serene and natural and beautiful.” While another said: “So beautiful and natural Sam, it’s meant to be xx.”

The wedding came six months after the couple announced their engagement to the world via Samantha’s Instagram page. Two photos were uploaded to her social media of the pair cuddling up together and showing off her sparkling diamond engagement ring.

Sam is believed to have met her equestrian businessman husband at Skye Leckie’s 60th birthday party in April 2019, before the pair confirmed their romance in November and were engaged in June the following year.
