You’ll do a double take when you see the new face of Pantene

Richard Wilkins’ son Christian is changing the face of haircare in a very literal way. The 25-year-old model has become the first male to front a Pantene ad in Australia with his proud dad revealing his stunning debut shot on his Instagram.

Richard posted the snap of Christian showing off his gorgeous blonde locks with the caption: “Very proud of my boy @theprincewilkins – the new face and hair of @panteneanz! The first male ambassador ever in Aus… #itdidnthappenovernight…. but it did happen! x”.

Meanwhile, Christian posted his own announcement on his social media where he said shooting the photo was a “dream come true” before thanking his parents for keeping him “in good hair”.

“As @panteneanz’s newest ambassador (!!) it’s my duty and honour to declare 2021 the year of bigger, better, bolder hair,” the caption read. “Beyond excited to be joining this iconic brand as their very first Aussie male face (and hair) – shooting this was genuinely one of the best days of my life, truly a dream come true, so shout out to Pantene and my parents for keeping me in good hair.”

Fans gushed over the achievement with one writing: “Crazy to think u haven’t been the face for FOREVER! Lovely and beautiful xxx.” While another said: “So excited for you. THE PERFECT PARTNERSHIP DOES EXIST! Congratulations honey, you deserve the world xoxo.”

But this wasn’t the only Wilkins’ family achievement to happen this week with Richard surprising both viewers and his co-stars on Saturday’s edition of The Weekend Today by announcing he had become a grandfather for the second time.

The entertainment TV veteran announced his daughter Rebecca had welcomed her second child earlier that week. He revealed the news to his stunned co-hosts Rebecca Madden and Sophie Walsh who said they had no clue.

“I became a granddad for the second time, on Thursday,” he said. “My beautiful daughter Becky and her husband James had a beautiful little daughter, Abigail Rose Wilkins.”

As they showed photos of the gorgeous newborn, Richard added that he’s affectionately known as ‘Papa Bear’ to his oldest grandchild and Rebecca and James first child, Bella.
