Nicole Kidman made onlookers green with envy Wednesday night as she dazzled in a festive emerald gown alongside her adoring husband Keith Urban for the Sydney premiere of Being the Ricardos.

Arriving home for Christmas in her native Australia, Kidman attended the premiere at the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace wearing a $25,000 green sequined gown from Italian fashion house, Etro.

The 54-year-old wore her strawberry blonde locks in a loose bun with her natural curls escaping as she strolled the red carpet with her country music superstar husband Keith Urban by her side in a sharp black suit, with a black shirt and matching black tie. The couple looked loved-up as they posed for photos, giggling and enjoying a number of private moments, as they told reporters how much they were looking forward to spending Christmas in Australia.

Kidman portrays the iconic Lucille Ball in the biopic which explores the behind-the-scenes relationship of the two leading stars. Kidman’s portrayal has already generated Oscar buzz with the actress already securing her a Golden Globe nomination.

Kidman’s mum Janelle was also in attendance to support her daughter for the Australian premiere with Kidman telling The Project, “I’m so happy for her to be able to see this.”

“She actually ran lines with me preparing. She was saying, ‘No you need to do it again. You got that word wrong’,” she said.

Also in attendance were award-winning director Taika Waititi alongside his British pop star girlfriend Rita Ora. Urban also brought along his fellow The Voice judges Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy for the event.

The official trailer for Being the Ricardos arrived in November, giving fans a glimpse of Nicole Kidman’s dramatic transformation into the iconic entertainer Lucille Ball. The trailer provided much more footage for fans including some of Ball’s most iconic television moments, such as the classic grape-stomping scene, as well as an accurate delivery of Arnez’s classic line, “Lucy, I’m home!” by Javier Bardem.

The film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Tuesday, December 21.
