New photo released of Samantha Armytage’s wedding

Sunrise presenter Samantha Armytage married partner Richard Lavender in an intimate ceremony last Thursday. At the time, the 44-year-old treated fans to a gorgeous snap of the pair walking hand-in-hand through a paddock on Richard’s property at Bowral in the NSW Southern Highlands.

Now, one of Sam’s guests, fellow journalist Adene Cassidy, has shared another beautiful picture from the big day, and it shows the presenter’s wedding ensemble in all its glory as she excitedly chats to a young girl, presumably Adene’s daughter.

For the special occasion, Sam opted for a simple-yet-elegant long-sleeved white frock, which fell just above her knees, while her hair was pulled back with a white ribbon. The journalist really played up her accessories, opting for an eye-catching pair of sparkly heels.

The new photo also gives fans a glimpse at the wedding theme, with a simple table adorned with white flowers and tall candles.

“Congratulations Mrs Lavender,” Sam’s friend Adene captioned the post. “Just the best way to kick 2020 to the curb.”

The news comes one week after the journalist took to Instagram to announce her nuptials to the public with a sweet photo of herself and Richard, 66.

“11.58am on a Thursday. How lucky are we?” she captioned the photo.

And it didn’t take long before friends and fans congratulated the pair, with tons of comments wishing them well as they started the new year as husband and wife.

“This is insanely awesome,” fellow Channel Seven presenter Larry Emdur wrote at the time. “Because we weren’t there, please accept this insta ‘like’ as our wedding gift.”

While Larry’s co-host Kylie Gillies commented, “Lucky in love. A new year and new beginnings. Perfect. All our love.”

Media personality Sally Obermeder added, “What a beautiful way to end a year and start a new one. We are so happy for your both. Love you @sam_armytage.”

The wedding came six months after Sam and Richard announced their engagement to the world, posting two photographs of Sam cuddling up to her businessman beau on Instagram. The journalist captioned the post, “what a year…”, as she showed off a dazzling diamond ring. Sam’s delight was clear to see as she smiled widely at the camera with her hand placed on Richard’s chest.
