It’s a joyful time at the Brosnan household as James Bond star Pierce Brosnan ecstatically welcomes his fourth grandchild.

Despite already becoming a grandfather two decades ago, the 69-year-old actor is still excited about the role, barely concealing his happiness as he took to Instagram to announce the birth of his newest grandson, Jaxxon Elijah.

“Jaxxon Elijah Brosnan, born 3:06 pm 11/12/22… all good blessings to you my dearest grandson, welcome,” Brosnan captioned the two sweet photos of the newborn.

“Congratulations my darling Sean, Sanja and Marley,” the caption continues to read.

“Peace be with you.”

The adorable photos have also melted the hearts of Brosnan’s fans and followers, who immediately flocked to the comment section to shower the actor with congratulatory messages.

“Congrats! Holiday babies are the best. They make us slow down and enjoy the snuggles a little more.”

Congratulations to all!!!! Welcome to the world little one.”

“Welcome sweet angel”

“Congratulations on the birth of your new grandson. Unmatched happiness”

“Congratulations to you all. He’s absolutely gorgeous. I hope mum and baby are doing well. Sending love from the UK.”

Since first becoming a grandfather through his two older kids, the late Charlotte Brosnan and Sean Brosnan, the screen legend soon earned the reputation for being a doting grandfather.

Brosnan makes no secret of how much he adores his grandkids, Isabelle, Lucas, and Marley, having previously said they “melt” his heart.

“It’s just such a joy to be a grandparent … there is just something intoxicating about it and beautiful,” he gushed during his appearance on  Live With Kelly and Ryan in April 2017.

“There is something very special about it. I think it’s the timing of your life … you know, your passage in life is going through and you’ve brought up a son or daughter and now you have a [grandchild], and you’re looking at the clock.”

The Golden Globe nominee has also claimed that having his grandchildren around have taught him an important lesson about life.

“There’s still a lot of life in the old man and I’ll keep going till I can go no more. Life is so precious,” he told The Herald back in 2015.

“It can be snatched away without any prior warning … so why waste it? That’s why I enjoy my wonderful, beautiful family, my children and my grandchildren.”
