‘I love my cousin’: First snap of Karl and Peter Stefanovic’s babies together

You think a photo of one baby is cute, well what about a snap of two? Over the weekend Karl and Peter Stefanovic’s babies enjoyed a play date together, and now the first photograph of the cousins together has been shared to the public – and it’s absolutely adorable.

Earlier this year Sky News reporter Peter and his wife Sylvia Jeffreys welcomed their first child Oscar into the world. Little Oscar was born in February and just a few months later Peter’s elder brother Karl and Jasmine Yarbrough celebrated the arrival of their first baby together – Harper May.

Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus the pair haven’t been able to spend much time together, until this past weekend when the gorgeous babies had a play date. Jasmine took to social media to share a photo of the two, with Oscar smiling happily, while little Harper May laid peacefully beside him. “I love my cousin,” she captured the snap.

Although he’s just four months old Oscar looked huge compared to tiny Harper, who was born just weeks ago. She was dressed in a cute ensemble with pink polka-dots and a matching pink beanie to keep her warm in the chilly winter temperatures. While Oscar wore a grey jumpsuit.

Fans gushed over the photo and said how special it will be for the pair to grow up together, with one commenting: “They are both absolutely perfect and will grow up as best friends.”

“So super freakin [sic] cute! I can’t deal … just too beautiful … love this,” @littlemalteeser said. While @jasmina.kotevski added: “So cute, gorgeous pic of the cousins.” And @caitarch said: “This is too precious.”

While she’s only little, Harper has been busy meeting new people, with Jasmine sharing a photo earlier this month of her bub enjoying some quality time with her grandfather.

“Loving my Poppy cuddles,” the shoe designed captioned the adorable photo, which shows Harper sleeping soundly in what seems to be the lap of Jasmine’s father Bob Yarbrough.

Jasmine’s parents Bob and Cheryl are reported to have travelled from their home in Brisbane to Sydney before Harper was born, giving them time to self-isolate before meeting their new grandchild, due to strict coronavirus restrictions at the time. Many of Jasmine’s followers commented on the sweet new snap, gushing over how beautiful Harper May is and urging the new parents and grandparents to enjoy every moment of this precious time.

“Bob, you would be enjoying every minute of it,” one person wrote. Another said: “Oh I want a cuddle! Poppy cuddles are the best. So happy for you both.”

While Jasmine’s sister-in-law Sylvia Jeffreys wrote: “Little angel!”
