Julie Bishop has given fans something to talk about after she wowed onlookers in an elegant pink designer dress at the Aje show at this years Fashion Week in Sydney.

The former Minister for Foreign Affairs stepped out in Aje’s new ankle length baby pink Madeline Belted Midi Dress dress ($495) featuring puffed sleeves, a bold tailored collar and statement waist belt. Bishop paired the outfit with understated accessories including large Margot McKinney diamond drop earrings, simplistic nude stilettos and a sole silver watch to pair.

According to The Daily Mail, the earrings “are so exclusive buyers have to ‘enquire’ about the price’, with “some of the current [Margot McKinney] earrings” already “selling upwards of $73,000 on websites like 1stdibs”.

In a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph, Bishop revealed the secret behind achieving her highly decorated sense of style. As published by The Daily Mail, Bishop admitted she opted for “timeless and classic fashion that transcends short-term trends” and revealed her favourite brands included the likes of Louis Vuitton, Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss and Rebecca Vallance.

“Style reflects individual tastes and choices – curating my own look,” Bishop said.

In October last year, Bishop again debuted her love for pink when she dazzled onlookers in a sleeveless, ruffled, pink and red ombre floor length gown, paired with steel cap boots, kicking off the 2021 Frocktober campaign.

Seemingly a lover of animal print, Bishop showed of her age-defying figure when stepped out in a mini zebra-print dress at a charity event organised by the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation in early July, 2021.

Arguably her most iconic and wild look yet, Bishop really set tongues wagging when she turned up the heat in a truly jaw-dropping leopard-print dress for 2021’s Australian Fashion Week launch in Sydney, proving once again that you don’t need to tone things down in the style department as you get older.

Bishop was elected as Australia’s first female Foreign Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in 2013 before stepping down from the role five years later in 2019. In January 2020, she became chancellor of the Australian National University where she remains to date.
