Former Home and Away star Johnny Ruffo has shared a heartwarming tribute to girlfriend Tahnee Sims to mark this Valentine’s Day, and it’s not your usual glammed up, romantic dinner-out, photo many couples traditionally post to celebrate the most romantic day of the year.
Taking to Instagram, the 33-year-old actor – who is battling his second bout of brain cancer – posted a refreshingly sweet photo of him and Tahnee all smiles as they snuggle up in bed wearing matching beige bathrobes.

The couple looks completely adorable in each other embrace.
“Happy Valentine’s day to this beautiful lady,” Ruffo wrote.
“Thankyou for the love, thankyou for the laughs, thankyou for taking care of me, but most of all, thankyou for being you xxxxxx”
Sims was quick to comment on the sweet tribute, writing: “Thankful for you everydayyyy ❤️.”
Fans of the couple were quick to jump into the comments section, expressing their love and support for the happy couple.
“I love this … perfect love,” one follower commented.
“Actually love you guys,” wrote another.
On her own account, Sims also marked Valentine’s Day by sharing an adorable mirror selfie of the pair in matching hotel slippers. Ruffo looked casual in a black T-shirt and shorts, while Sims wears a hot pink oversized shirt dress.

“My forever valentine,” she captioned the picture.
Beneath the post, Ruffo wrote, “you look so amazing here, what did I ever do to get someone so beautiful and amazing xxx.”
With Ruffo’s cancer diagnosis, the young couple, who have been dating since 2015, have endured an ordeal that many others may never face.
Nonetheless, Ruffo and Sims have been taking it in their stride, with Ruffo confessing in interviews he believes his girlfriend’s insistence that he go get a check-up at the hospital for his recurring migraines saved his life.
“We’ve been through so much together now. The longer we stay together, the stronger the bond,” he said.
Ruffo is known to give his fans regular updates on social media regarding his second health battle after his brain cancer returned in late 2020.
“After an unexpected week of seizures and excruciating headaches it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know I now have another huge battle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned,” he wrote after his diagnosis.
“Though I will dig deep and beat this s**t disease again.”
