Dame Joan Collins has given an insight into what life has been like for her over the past few months, including how she and husband of 18-years Percy Gibson have coped with being together 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The 87-year-old star travelled from LA to London in March, before then flying to the South of France as soon as restrictions eased in June. She and Percy have remained there ever since and, speaking to British magazine Hello! from the comfort of her St Tropez villa, the Dynasty star admitted they have “become closer than ever” as a result of the pandemic.

“Being in lockdown has made me realise how strong our relationship really is. I love entertaining guests at the villa, travelling and socialising, but that changed and because of the restrictions it’s just Percy and me. The great thing is we’re partners in crime, accomplices.”

Making a very relatable confession, Joan also told the magazine she has “put on some Covid weight”, due to the fact that Percy has been treating her to delicious home-cooked meals. “I’ve put on some Covid weight and am trying to get it off,” she told Hello! “So I work out three times a week with my trainer on FaceTime.”

Joan has been keeping her followers updated on social media in recent months, as the world continues to adapt to the ongoing pandemic, and just last month she took to Instagram to show off a seriously glamorous new frock, complete with matching face mask.

Collins mentioned her matching outfit in the caption while joking about the fact that she was going against her word by wearing it. “Matchup! Thank you Jackie Palmer for making this outfit, even though I said I would never wear a matching mask #mask #Covid,” she wrote.
