Hugh Jackman shares sweet birthday message to his wife of 26 years

Australian actor Hugh Jackman has paid a sweet tribute to his “extraordinary” wife of 26 years, Deborra-lee Furness, for her birthday.

The beloved entertainer praised his now 67-year-old wife for being the light of his life, sharing an adorable image of the pair on Instagram on Wednesday, November 30.

“Happy birthday to my extraordinary wife,” the 54-year-old said.

“This is the 28th time I’ve celebrated this day with you. You’ve taught me many things, including how to celebrate.

“Celebrate life, family, friendship and love. Your light and joy lights up all around you! The kids are I bask in that glow every day and today we pray you feel all the love reflected back at you. x I love you.”

Friends and fans wished Furness a happy birthday, sharing their appreciation for the couple’s devotion to each other and Jackman’s loving tribute.

“Happy happy darling,” actress Rebecca Gibney said.

“You are puy joy! Can’t wait to hug you soon.”

“Happy birthday you superstar of a woman we love you so much,” singer Kate Ceberano wrote.

“What an enormous heart you have.”

“What a beautiful caption for such a beautiful soul. Wishing Deb the happiest of birthdays today and I’m sure she’s feeling all the love,” someone commented.

The Australian power couple have been rumoured to be considering a move back to Australia, with Women’s Day reporting the couple’s recent downsize from their luxury triplex penthouse New York apartment for a smaller unit in Chelsea had been “an unexpected stress”.

“Almost everything that didn’t go to the smaller apartment is being shipped to Oz,” a source tells the publication.

“They’re serious about moving Down Under one day and this was the perfect opportunity to start sending things back. Having a smaller place has freed up money to invest in their eventual base in Australia as well, so they’re excited about taking steps towards their Aussie dream.”

Jackman has never shied away from expressing his experience with homesickness with his loyal fans.

During the 2020 lockdown, the Greatest Showman star shared videos of himself completing a jigsaw puzzle of the iconic Sydney Opera House.
