Hilaria Baldwin has shared the cutest picture of her new baby girl, Lucia, cuddling up to her big brother, Eduardo, who is just five months older than his little sister.
In the sweet snap, which was posted to the yoga guru’s personal Instagram account on Thursday, little Lucia appears to be blissfully sleeping as Eduardo wraps an arm around her and looks up to the camera.
The baby girl’s arrival this week came as a surprise to most fans as Hilaria and her American actor husband Alec Baldwin had only just welcomed their baby son, who they’ve nicknamed Edu, in September last year. The couple reportedly welcomed Lucia via surrogate.
Hilaria has now opened up on having the two so close together in her image caption, telling fans “our hearts are filled with so much gratitude”. The 37-year-old went on to say the ‘Baldwinitos’ have been hoping for a little sister since she suffered a miscarriage when she was four months pregnant with a baby girl back in 2019.
“There isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t ache for our daughter,” she wrote. “When I found out our baby had died, I told our children that their sister was going to come, just not at that time. Nothing will ever replace her, but two wonderful souls have come into our lives, and we are humbled to know them.”
She went on to say how brave her children were, writing: “Our children were brave during our time of tremendous grief—braver than us … and they held out hope. To experience and accept life’s ups and downs is challenging, but a reality that all of us have no choice but to receive and process. I have learned that often our children are wiser than we are and their wisdom has guided us.”
Hilaria didn’t outright confirm baby Lucia was brought into this world via surrogate, however she did hint at it, adding: “Our rainbow baby, Edu, is such a blessing — we are overwhelmed by how fortunate we are to have him. We are living each day, bonding, and grateful for all of the very special angels who helped bring Lucía into the world. María Lucía Victoria and Eduardo Pau Lucas: our babies who bring light into our lives — almost like twins, we love you so much.”

Hilaria announced the exciting baby news earlier this week with an adorable photo of Lucia sleeping. “We are so in love with our daughter, Lucia,” she captioned her post at the time. “Just like your brothers and sisters, you are a dream come true.”

The couple, who married in 2012 in New York City, are also parents to Carmen, seven, Rafael, five, Leonardo, four and Romeo, two, while Alec also has a 25-year-old daughter, Ireland, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
