Grant Denyer has taken to social media to share another emotional update on his young daughter’s recent health battle after undergoing a procedure last week to fix her severe hip dysplasia.

The video, posted to Instagram yesterday, March 3, shows Denyer alongside his youngest daughter Sunday who is wearing a full-body cast which she will remain in for the next 12 weeks as she recovers.

In the caption, Denyer expressed his deep love for Sunday, telling fans he was doing everything he could to make her feel at home.

“Just trying to keep her as comfortable as possible,” he wrote.

“We love you so much Sunday. We’ll do this long ride together.

“Hang in there my love. Daddy’s got you xox.”

Heart-wrenching audio plays over the video, pulling at the heartstrings of fans and parents who have gone through similar journeys with their own children.

Fans were quick to respond to the video, praising young Sunday for her bravery and strength despite her ordeal.

“Gorgeous little poppet!! Hang in there sweetheart you’ve got this!” wrote one fan.

“Omg Sunday is such a little trooper. She looks all set up!” commented another.

Last week Denyer took to social media to share a post-procedure image of his wife, Cheryl Denyer, holding little Sunday tightly on her lap. Both Cheryl and Sunday looked rather deflated after what must have been quite a taxing day.

Denyer directed the post to Sunday, expressing his sorrow at seeing her in such a condition.

“Oh my poor little bubba!” he wrote.

“I’m so sorry to see you in this state.”

The day after the one year old’s procedure, Denyer gave fans a look at what life was like for little Sunday post-recovery. One image showed Sunday lying on two thick pillows with small towels under her legs, a makeshift bed to make her feel as comfortable as possible. In the other image, Sunday lay back in her car seat.

“Oh bubba. I know you don’t feel like smiling with this body cast on but we’ll get through this together,” Denyer captioned the post.

The post received an outpouring of love and support from celebrities, influencers and fans alike, all wishing Sunday a swift and comfortable journey to recovery.

Today Show Host, David Campbell, commented, “Oh bro. Hope she is well”.

“Little darlin”, Morning Show Host, Kylie Gillies, wrote.

“Oh, the poor little muffin. My daughter also had hip dysplasia, but it was diagnosed early,” wrote one fan.

“She wore a hip brace 23 hours a day for nearly a whole year! But she’s fine now. Short term pain for long term gain, but at the moment, it would seem daunting and awful for all of you. Wishing her a speedy recovery and sending you all love and strength.”
