After months of teasing, Robert Irwin has unveiled his highly anticipated mystery project as a book showcasing the young Australian’s photography.

Robert Irwin’s Australia was announced in a video shared on social media on Thursday, October 6, in which the 18-year-old is seen opening and signing the book, before packaging it up with a “signed never-before-seen print”.

Robert Irwin’s Australia has arrived,” the video announcement was captioned.

“This is the embodiment of countless years of dedication to the art form of imagery as well as my profound passion to continue my father’s important legacy, while forging my own path.

“Australian-made and sustainably crafted, this is my first photography book. And I can proudly say, all profits benefit conservation.

“In addition to my widely available book I am also thrilled to announce a signed launch edition series of 500 books, including a signed never-before-seen print, ‘thank you’ card and handcrafted Australian-made box, sealed with a custom embossment.

“Both of these options ship worldwide, but hurry – our launch edition is strictly limited to 500 coveted copies. Thank you for being part of my journey and for your support.”

Irwin said the book holds a special place in his heart as it “pays homage to his home (Australia), and encapsulates [his] journey behind the lens”.

Fans of the youngest Irwin congratulated him on his exciting new endeavour.

Irwin first shared a glimpse of the project in August, 2022, sharing an image of a black background with the words “Robert Irwin’s Australia. Coming October 2022″.

The post was captioned: “A project years in the making coming soon.”
