Parents, they absolutely love showing off their love for their kids- and devoted father of two Elton John is no exception to this rule as the singing sensation took to social media to share a rare and heartwarming tribute to his children.
Found on the Elton John Aids Foundation on Instagram, the account posted an unearthed photo of himself and his husband of 8 years, David Furnish, with their sons back in 2017.

The throwback photo showed Elton and Furnish each holding the hands of one of their son, Zachary, now aged 11, and Elijah, now aged 9, wearing matching Watford football kits.
The picture’s caption read: ” Last month, to mark his 75th birthday, @EltonJohn shared a heart-warming letter to his sons in @TIME about the important lessons he has learned throughout his life…”
Many fans were quick to flood the comment section with love heart emojis and praises for Elton and the foundation’s work.
“Oh they are so beautiful Elton,” one wrote.
“So big. So handsome,” a second commented.
“Thank you #eltonjohn @eltonjohn because of you and your reference many of us are alive today and HIV AIDS is not a death sentence!” wrote a third.
In the incredibly personal caption, the 75-year-old reflects on his life as both a performer and parent, calling his sons ” the two most precious parts of my life” adding, “I have had an incredibly fortunate 75 years. I’ve had my share of adventures, and I’ll tell you about some of the wilder ones another time. But know this: the most rewarding journey in my life has been the one I began 12 years ago with your Papa, when we decided to start a family…
“Zachary and Elijah, you two are the greatest gifts I have ever been given. You have filled my heart with love and my life with purpose and meaning in ways I didn’t think were possible. You are my proudest achievements, and I love you both so, so much.”
Elton, however, isn’t the only proud father. Earlier this month, Furnish shared a video of their family enjoying a dreamy winter holiday skiing on the side of a slope in Aspen, Colorado.

“It only seems like yesterday they were ambling along on tiny skis,” he lovingly wrote. “So proud of our boys.” He added, with a row of love heart emojis as well as tagging his husband.
