Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace Warrior in awe of late grandfather Steve Irwin

Bindi Irwin has revealed how her young daughter Grace Warrior has developed a heart-warming fixation with videos of her late father and Grace’s grandfather, Steve Irwin.

Speaking to People Magazine in May, 2021, Bindi admitted her and husband, Chandler Powell, often played documentaries of Steve Irwin for Grace and that her young daughter seemed “captivated” by them.

“We have so many documentaries of dad, and we’re always playing them for Grace,” Bindi said.

“It’s so fun to watch her study him. I didn’t realise how much dad’s passion for life and his animated facial expressions – I mean, they captivate her.”

Bindi revealed daughter Grace had developed her grandfather’s “determination” and “inability to sit still”.

“I think that’s really special,” said Bindi of Grace’s inherited traits.

Bindi went on to admit she was looking forward to watching Grace come into her own and that Steve would have been truly in awe of his sweet granddaughter.

“I’m excited to see as she grows up how her personality will develop. If dad was around, honestly, we would never see her. He would be in love,” she said.

“He’d just have her doing everything with him. We would only see her if she needed a feed and then be gone again,” Bindi joked.

In her most recent post of Grace to Instagram, Bindi shared an intimate snap of her and young Grace smiling happily as she praised her daughter for her “thoughtful mind and strong soul”.

Bindi recently took to social media to share adorable footage of Grace taking her very first steps. The special milestone video was posted to Instagram on Wednesday, April 6, featuring a gorgeous Grace smiling with joy as she finds her feet for the first time and makes her way into the arms of her father.

Bindi captioned the Instagram post, “Big moment”, as she watched on with pride at her daughter’s special feat.

In March this year, Bindi took to social media to celebrate Grace Warriors first birthday, describing 2021 as the “greatest year of her life”.

Her and husband Chandler make their love for Grace no secret, regularly posting sweet pics of their young 1-year-old enjoying time with family and friends and of course, her touching interactions with animals at the family zoo.

Grace warrior was born on March 25, 2021, and is already growing into the ever-curious young adventurer, much like her late grandfather, ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin.
