Just like mum! Bindi Irwin recreates Terri’s adorable baby bump photo

Bindi Irwin is expecting her first child with husband Chandler Powell later this year and the 22-year-old has treated fans to another bump update — and it’s probably the most special of them all.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the young wildlife conservationist, who’s now in her third trimester, recreated a beautiful photo of mum Terri and late father Steve. In the first snap, Bindi can be seen smiling as Chandler kisses her exposed stomach, while the second picture shows a young Bindi and Steve kissing Terri’s belly when she was pregnant with Robert.

“Recreating a very special moment,” she captioned the post. “Third trimester love.”

The photo was flooded with comments from fans, with one writing: “Awwww you guys are adorable.” Another said: “Oh man this is so beautiful.”

While a third added: “Love this! Such a beautiful moment! What a lucky baby girl she is! She’s already loved beyond measure.”

Bindi has been open about her pregnancy since she first announced the news publicly in August, and regularly shares bump updates with her 4.2 million followers. Just last month she shared an update with fans revealing she was nearing the end of her second trimester.

“Thank you for your lovely comments and support on this remarkable journey,” she wrote. “Now that I’m 26 weeks pregnant, our daughter is about the same size as a shingleback lizard. Swipe across to meet Pinecone the shingleback lizard, who I think is really excited about that.”

And in September, the young wildlife warrior took to Instagram to reveal the baby’s gender. Bindi uploaded a photo of her and Chandler holding up a large ultrasound scan, with the caption, “Baby girl, you are our world. Our beautiful daughter is now about the same size as a hatchling Aldabra tortoise and is as healthy as can be. We can’t wait for her arrival next year.”

At the time, fans of the couple showed their support, with one writing, “Aww, congratulations on a little girl. Your dad would be so excited.”

“Congratulations! The next generation of wildlife warriors begins,” another said. While a third wrote: “This is how you do a gender reveal. Congratulations, I adore all three of you.”

Some fans even called for the baby girl to be named after Bindi’s late father, with one suggesting, “Name her Stevie!” While another added: “I’d like to guess a possible name: Stephanie.”
