It’s the fourth child in four years for the couple, who married in 2012. The pair are already parents to daughter Carmen, four, son Rafael, two, and son Leonardo, 18 months, while Alec also has 22-year-old daughter, Ireland, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
While many fans jumped to wish the couple congratulations, some, of course, wondered what the kids’ lives will be like with an older father.
“I guess she’s okay with these kids not having a father to see them through all their milestones!” one commenter quipped on Instagram.
Others simple wished them well. “Yay!!!! Congrats on such a beautiful family,” said one fan.

In the weeks before their new bundle of joy’s arrival, Hilaria posted a sweet shot of Alec and their two sons on Instagram, captioning the photo: “The current Baldwin boys….soon to be 4 ps…they are watching dinosaurs ?#wegotthis2018”.
The Baldwins also revealed their baby’s gender in an adorable Instagram video in November.
The increasing trend of having babies later in life is a big change to previous generations. In the 1920s, the most common ages to have babies were between 20 and 29, and that remained the same in until the ’80s, when working women started having babies later in life.
