It’s that spot that we often miss. But sometimes the best solutions in life are the simplest especially when it comes to cleaning difficult and awkward spaces.
The space where the glass shower door overlaps with the glass shower panel often builds up with soap scum and no amount of yoga or gymnastics will make our limbs flexible enough to fit in that tight, awkward space.
But now a clever cleaner has come to our aid with such a simple solution, you’ll want to test it out immediately.
Going by the user name Maid By Nature, professional cleaner Michelle shared her trick on social media and uploaded a video demonstration on TikTok.
“When shower glass doors overlap it can be a real pain in the butt – how do you get in there? This is how you do it… wrap your microfibre cloth around a squeegee, stick it in there (between the doors) and wipe,” she said.
“When it comes time to dry it or shine it up I follow the same process but with a glass cloth.”
Michelle then shows viewers how she uses the same cloth-covered squeegee to reach the top of the shower screen – a great help if your short stature makes it hard to reach the top of the glass.

Many fans on social media were impressed by the hack and jumped into the comments section to leave their thanks for her help.
“Genius,” one wrote.
“Thank you,” another added.
“Smart! wish I’d known this yesterday at a clients house.”
“Literally never thought to do this. You’re so smart!”
Now that you can get into those tricky corners to clean, you may want to think about what cleaning products you are using.
Using chemical cleaners can be overwhelming for some when locked in a small space but there are simple household items you can use to get your shower glass sparkling without the fumes. Try these four natural cleaning products, some of which you probably already have in your cupboard, and watch your shower glass return to its shiny best.
Start by rinsing the glass thoroughly with water. Simply pour lemon juice onto a soft dampened sponge and wipe over the glass surface. Leave the lemon juice to sit for a few minutes before rinsing with clean water. Dry glass to a sparkle with a paper towel.
Cheap and natural, white vinegar can be used almost anywhere in the home. Simply pour white vinegar into a spray bottle. If you like, you can dilute the solution to 50/50 part vinegar and water. Spray the vinegar solution over the glass and leave for a few minutes. Work over the stains and limescale with a soft sponge to remove any residue. Rinse well and wipe clean with a paper towel. Repeat if needed.
To tackle difficult stains baking soda is the way to go. Make a thick paste by mixing baking soda with a little water. Spread the paste over the glass surface using a soft dampened sponge. Avoid using coarse brushes as they could scratch the glass. After a few minutes, rinse and wipe clean.
While toothpaste does a great job of cleaning your teeth, it is also a fantastic glass cleaner. Apply a generous amount of toothpaste to a dampened sponge, and work it over the glass surface. Finish with a thorough rinse and wipe.
