Princess Mary wows in gorgeous blue, sparkly gown for elaborate evening event

Princess Mary has outdone herself yet again, stepping out in a beautiful blue, sparkly gown for a gathering at Christiansborg Palace in Denmark.

The Australian-born royal glowed as she entered the government building with a light blue sash draped across her shoulders and a silver tiara complementing the dark colour of the dress perfectly.

Prince Frederik’s wife was certainly a standout for the elaborate event, which she attended alongside her mother-in-law Queen Margrethe, Prince Joachim of Denmark and his wife Princess Marie. Meanwhile, Frederik was absent from the evening gathering as he is currently in Sydney for the 2018 Invictus Games.

The Danish royals joined with members of the European Parliament and other important guests for dinner in the government building before moving into the banquet hall where they enjoyed some entertainment.

Mary has been complimented for her stylish outfits in the past, with many taking quickly taking to Facebook to share their thoughts on her latest dress.

“Wow Mary is amazingly beautiful in her dress,” one person commented. “Our beautiful princess,” another added.

A third joked that Frederik should have been there to see his gorgeous wife.

“Almost too bad the crown prince missed the sight of his incredibly beautiful wife tonight,” they said.

Just weeks ago, the princess was spotted in a stunning electric blue evening dress for a gala at the Copenhagen Opera.

The mother-of-four looked elegant in the royal blue dress, which cinched in at the waist before billowing out into a full-length skirt. She completed the ensemble with a pair of purple stilettos and silver dangling earrings, while she wore her brunette locks in an elegant up-do, and kept her makeup simple and elegant with a subtle pink lip and light blush.

Mary was accompanied by her husband and Queen Margrethe where they enjoyed a performance by Danish and Icelandic artists to mark 100 years of sovereignty in Iceland.

“Queen Margarethe, Crown Princess Mary and Princess Benedikte are so beautiful,” a second wrote.
