Nicole Kidman oozes timeless elegance in monochrome at Critics’ Choice

Just one week after the Golden Globes, stars have once again pulled out all the fashion stops, only this time at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards.

Nicole Kidman led the star-studded arrivals at the annual event on Sunday, stealing the show in a strapless monochrome dress.

Everyone from Glenn Close and Allison Janney to Lady Gaga joined her on the red carpet as they gathered at Barker Hangar in California to honour movie and TV greats of the last year.

Nicole looked sensational in the fitted gown, which featured an asymmetrical hemline, with her blonde locks styled in loose waves. The 51-year-old completed the effortlessly chic look with simple silver accessories.

The actress has been nominated for one of the top gongs at the Critics’ Choice Awards this year, including Best Supporting Actress for her role in Boy Erased.

Meanwhile, Glenn Close, 71, stole the show early on rocking a very glamorous all-silver ensemble, as she posed for snaps in front of the sea of cameras and reporters.

The 71-year-old movie icon looked fantastic in the daring outfit which featured a fitted jacket and skirt. Opting for her usual cropped hairstyle, Glenn chose a standout pair of silver earrings to match her outfit. The actress has also been nominated for Best Actress for her role in The Wife.

Allison Janney, who is nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Mom, was certainly one of the most extravagantly dressed stars of the evening and dazzled in an all-white ensemble that featured silk pants and a cape-like blouse. With her hair pulled back in an elegant bun, the 59-year-old looked every inch the leading lady as she stopped to have her photo taken.

Elsewhere, A Star Is Born actress Lady Gaga certainly didn’t disappoint in the style department as she wowed crowds once again in a blush-coloured strapless gown which featured a long train. To finish the standout outfit, the singer sported vintage-style curls and accessorised with a pair of diamond earrings. The up-and-coming actress has also been nominated for Best Actress for her role in A Star Is Born.
