Meghan has perfected the art of mid-flight changes as she transformed into a small black dress to make a stunning entrance to New Zealand on Sunday – where the royal couple were welcomed with a traditional Maori ceremony.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, stole the show once again as she showed off her legs in the above-the-knee loose frock and a chequered grey long jacket – which she later tied at the front to cover the dress.

Towering in black heels, Meghan looked elegant and chic in the simple outfit and wore her hair tied back in a loose up do as she stood beside her husband Prince Harry to descend the stairs out of the plane.

Harry himself dressed to impress in a dark suit with medals across his chest, as the royal couple were welcomed by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

They went on to meet some Maori elders and both shared the traditional face-to-face welcome in tribute to the country’s history. Meghan looked completely at ease as she spoke to each person individually, while Harry happily followed her for the traditional welcome ceremony on the lawns of Government House

It was a very quick change for Meghan, who was pictured in a completely different outfit as she jetted out of Australia just hours before following the action-packed Invictus Games closing ceremony on Saturday night.

This time, she opted for a below-the-knee plum-burgundy dress which clinched in as the waist to reveal a hint of her growing baby bump.

Wearing her hair down on this occasion, Meghan looked beautiful as she held on to Harry’s hand for the stairs up to their plane. On both occasions both of the royals have worn a poppy to mark the upcoming Remembrance ceremonies.

It’s been a busy few hours for the pair as they took centre stage at the closing ceremony just hours ago.

Meghan paid a moving tribute to the bravery of all the athletes involved in this year’s Invictus Games in an emotional speech, sharing a treasured memory with the crowd in Sydney.

Speaking ahead of her husband – who gave his own inspiring speech straight after his wife – Meghan thanked everyone for welcoming her into the “Invictus Family”, as well as praising the “unshakable bond” between servicemen and women.

She went on to share one of her own memories of meeting troops before her marriage to Harry.

“I’m not sure if many of you know this, but a few years ago before I met my husband, I had the incredible honour of meeting troops deployed all over the world from the UK, Afghanistan and several other countries,” she said.

“In travelling to these military bases, I was given a very special glimpse into the lives of those who serve our countries. I was able to see the unshakeable bond between servicemen and women on the ground together, but at the same time to feel the palpable longing for family and friends while deployed.

“Once home, the need for that anchor of support from loved ones, especially given how much it accelerates recovery and rehabilitation is immeasurable. I’ve been reminded of those memories here.”

She gave a special shout out to the Novack family from Chicago and their son Ryan who was told he would never walk again after a serious injury. However, through his amazing determination, she recalled the moment he jumped into their boat with ease to hug them this week.
