What’s her secret? Joan Collins, 86, wows fans with flawless complexion

She’s been front and centre in the world of showbiz for decades and Joan Collins proved she’s very much still the leading lady at the age of 86, as she posed with a group of younger models as part of a stunning new campaign.

The actress was inundated with praise from fans after starring alongside 11 models for Charlotte Tilbury’s latest make-up campaign, showing off her completely flawless complexion in the snap. Wearing a low-cut light pink blouse and statement white dangly earrings, Collins flashed a beaming smile as she held up the product in the front row of the snap.

Wearing her hair in its signature curled do, Collins oozed glamour and looked perfectly at home in front of the camera – with many fans sharing awestruck comments, praising her for holding her own and standing out among the models – many of whom were less than half her age.

“Joan Collins!!!! She’s amazing,” one fan commented while another added: “Wow look at Joan though. Incredible.” Meanwhile, another fan commented: “OMG! Dame Joan Collins.”

The photoshoot was held to promote Tilbury’s brand new Airbrush Flawless Finish Foundation – which has reportedly garnered a 17,000-strong wait list. Starring alongside her were model and drag queen Miss Fame, make-up blogger Em Ford and even Tilbury’s own nieces, Bella and Sofia.

It comes just months after Collins shared her very simple beauty secrets to The Mirror, revealing a basic nighttime regime has helped her keep her incredible complexion for all these years.

“I’m very disciplined,” she told the news outlet. “I don’t go to bed without taking off my makeup and putting on night cream. My mother had me and sister Jackie doing that when we were 14.

“Women then weren’t addicted to television, Instagram and Twitter and all these things. I heard the average was two to four hours a day on devices. Now if you do that you don’t really have much time to exercise or take care of your skin.”

Indeed, Collins previously revealed in an interview with The Telegraph in 2004 that it has a lot to do with your attitude and happiness in life. She said at the time: “I know women in their eighties who have just got so much vivacity and energy and charm. And I know women in their forties who are dried-up old bags.”

And the actress also opened up on her incredible hairstyles, admitting a lot of the time she relies on huge wigs to satisfy her love for dramatic hair dos. She added to the news outlet: “Honestly, for me every day is a bad hair day. That’s why I wear hats all the time. It is. And wigs. My real hair simply will not do what I want. Besides, darling, I like big hair!”

Meanwhile, Collins hasn’t slowed down when it comes to her style choices and she was pictured just months ago embracing 1970s style in some very daring sheer flared pants covered in pearls, diamantes and feathers for a glamorous night at singer Elton John’s famous Midsummer Party.

Standing tall in gold sparkly heels, the talented actress wasn’t afraid to stand out from the crowd, accessorising with a blue beaded necklace and earrings, a chunky silver ring and a small white clutch. Meanwhile, Joan chose to keep her brunette locks down in soft waves and completed the look with a bright fuchsia lipstick, a swipe of blush to her cheeks and smokey eyeshadow. The Hollywood star attended the event alongside husband Percy Gibson, 54, who looked dapper in a pair of white trousers, white buttoned shirt and navy blazer.
