Every year, the biggest names in Hollywood show off their incredible wardrobes on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival – and Jane Fonda is stealing the show this time round with some very dramatic outfits.
The 80-year-old actress continues to defy the years with her stunning styles, and this time she chose a black tasselled outfit for the screening of new movie Sink Or Swim (Le Grand Bain).
Showing off her figure, Fonda stood out in the floor-length intricate dress with sheer panels across her arms. It ended in a layered skirt with white petal-like pieces woven into the material, and she accessorised with statement diamond earrings for the glitzy event.
Smiling for photos alongside more stars, she proved she’s a complete natural in the limelight as she soaked up some sun in France’s hot spot.
It was one of many stand-out outfits from Fonda over the last few days, and she made another grand entrance to the screening of Blackkklansman just a few hours later in a long grey dress and matching floral cape.
This time, the world-famous actress braved the rain and carried an umbrella for her photo moment, but didn’t let it phase her at all as she looked a million dollars in a large diamond necklace and smaller earrings.
She might look years younger, but Fonda recently admitted her shock that she’d lived as long as she has, in a chat with the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“You know that when you were younger, you didn’t think 80 would feel like this, right?” Ellen asked the 9 to 5 actress.
“I didn’t think I’d live this long,” Jane laughed. “Are you kidding? If you had told me when I was 20 or 30 that I would actually still be acting, still active, at 80, on a show like this, I would have said you’re out of your mind. There’s no way. No.”
She added that she counts her blessings every single day for being alive and healthy.
“I didn’t think I’d live this long, so every day I get up and I want to pinch myself because I feel very blessed,” she said. “But I’ve worked for it. I’ve tried hard to stay healthy”.
It’s not the first time she’s discussed her age in recent times. At the premiere of her new film Book Club earlier this month, the star admitted she’d given up on dating.
“I’m not dating anymore, but I did up until a couple of years ago,” she told Extra. “I’m 80,” she added. “I’ve closed up shop down there!”
