Melania Trump looked extremely patriotic on Monday evening as she was pictured in a stunning sleeveless frock for a special event alongside husband President Donald Trump and the White House.
The First Lady looked incredible as she and the President welcomed senior US military leaders and their partners to the Washington DC residence for a social dinner, with the first couple posing for photos with their guests in the impressive State Dining Room.
Melania showed off her sensational sense of fashion in the vibrant floral number which featured an asymmetrical navy and red design, as well as a statement peplum on one side. The mother-of-one paired the eye-catching dress with an understated pair of navy stiletto heels .
The 49-year-old former model allowed her statement dress to do the talking, opting to forego jewellery for the event, while she wore her hair in its usual style, falling in loose waves over her shoulders. While her husband seemed to have matched his tie – in the Republican shade of red – to his wife’s outfit.
Taking to Twitter after the event, the FLOTUS wrote: “It was wonderful to host senior military leaders & their spouses at the @WhiteHouse tonight. Thank you for your service to our great nation.”
And many of the First Lady’s followers were quick to praise her, with one writing: “You look amazing in RED! Thank you for your service!” Another said: “WOW. FLOTUS……you look amazing.”
While a third commented: “Thank You for being such a great First Lady.”

The appearance came just hours after Melania stepped out for a solo engagement, as she attended the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Red Ribbon rally in Arlington, Virginia, which is aimed at encouraging students to live drug free.
“In my time as First Lady, I have traveled to hospitals and visited rehabilitation centres where I have seen firsthand the horrible results of drug abuse,” she said as she took to the stage to deliver a speech. “Illegal use of drugs destroys too many families in our country. Drugs are taking a toll on our most vulnerable.”

Melania looked equally as stylish for the occasion, this time opting for a simple black Prada dress for the solo engagement, paired with a towering pair of black stiletto heels. Meanwhile her make-up appeared more dramatic, as she opted for a dark smokey eye to complete her fashionable monochrome look.
