‘Fierce’ Celine Dion makes bold statement in thigh-high red boots

Celine Dion, pictured here at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, has been stepping out in a unique style lately.

Celine Dion is no stranger to an eye-catching outfit and the 50-year-old songstress wowed in an all-red ensemble as she continued her epic Aussie tour on Wednesday.

The singer, 50, looked sensational in the plaid dress which cinched in at the waist, but it was her faux shiny boots that stole the show. She added a bit of drama with the red hot boots that reached up to her mid-thighs. The mother-of-three wore her hair in a tight bun for the occasion and accessorised with gold hoops and a matching bracelet.

The Canadian singer shared a snap of the eye-popping outfit on Instagram, alongside the caption: “Fierce! Team Céline”.

The mother-of-three proved she’s got as much energy as her early days in the music industry as she danced across the stage and beamed with happiness throughout. It’s her first tour since 2008, and she treated fans to a special cover of Aussie legend John Farnham’s classic You’re The Voice.

The singer appears to have fully recovered after she was forced to cancel shows in Las Vegas to undergo surgery on her ear a few months ago, following hearing problems.

Celine apologised to fans in an emotional statement at the time, and said the issue – called Patulous Eustachian tube – had begun to affect her singing. She’d been taking treatments for the problem for the past 18 months, but they stopped working, she said.

“My luck hasn’t been very good lately … I’ve been so looking forward to doing my shows again and this happens…. I just can’t believe it!” Celine said in a statement on her social media pages. “I apologise to everyone who planned to travel to Las Vegas to see my show. I know how disappointing this is, and I’m so sorry.”

Patulous Eustachian tube occurs when the Eustachian tube, which is normally closed, instead stays intermittently open.
