As one of the most photographed women in the world the Duchess of Cambridge rarely puts a foot wrong when it comes to fashion and her latest outfit was no exception as she stepped out with her husband Prince William for a joint royal engagement on Thursday.

The mother-of-three looked stunning as she arrived at the BBC in London with the Duke of Cambridge, wearing a vibrant turquoise frock which featured a pleated skirt that finished just above the knee.

Catherine completed the elegant look with a pair of pointed suede black court shoes and wore her dark hair down in her signature style, hanging down in loose curls over her shoulders, with just a silver watch and her eye-catching sapphire engagement ring.

She was accompanied by Prince William who looked smart in a black suit with his white shirt unbuttoned at the collar, he also opted not to wear a tie for the official engagement.

The royal couple had been invited to the BBC headquarters to try out a new Internet safety app, as well as meeting a group of children and their parents who had helped design it.

During the visit Prince William gave a passionate speech in which he slammed social media platforms for choosing profits over good values.

“Social media companies have done more to connect the world than has ever been achieved in human history. Surely you can connect with each other about smart ways to deal with the unintended consequences of these connections,” he said.

“You can reject the false choice of profits over values. You can choose to do good and be successful.”

Earlier this week the couple, who are parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, spent the day in Yorkshire, where they visited the McLaren Automotive Composites Technology Centre in Rotherham, before heading to a homeless service in Barnsley.
