One day, a man stumbled upon a box tucked away in the back of his wardrobe and asked his wife about it.
She opened the box to reveal its contents.
“My grandmother once told me the secret to a happy marriage was to avoid arguing. She advised that whenever I got mad at you, I should stay silent and crochet a doll instead.”
The man was delighted to see only two crocheted dolls in the box after 60 years of marriage, and remarked, “We must have been doing something right.”
Then he noticed something else.
“And what about all this money? There’s quite a bit here!”
“That,” his wife replied with a smile, “is the money I’ve earned from selling all the other dolls.”
