Over the years Brigitte Nielsen, 55, has wowed us with her stunning looks and saucy scenes, but some people forget she’s a doting mother of five.

And on Thursday, the blonde beauty shared an adorable snap with her daughter Frida while inside her Palm Springs mansion. The Red Sonja actress lifted the child up in the sweet image with the caption: “4 months can’t think of any happier time in my life #proudmom.”

Brigitte showed off her fabulous style in one snap, sporting a stunning off-the-should green dress, which featured a simple oriental design — a striking pattern that looked eye-catching without being too busy.

Brigitte and her husband Mattia Dessì, 39, welcomed their little girl into the world on June 22. The Danish star married her fifth husband in 2006. She was previously married to Sylvester Stallone, Raoul Meyer, Sebastian Copeland and Kasper Winding. She already has four sons, Raoul Meyer Jr, 23, Douglas Meyer, 25, Killian Gastineau, 28, and Julian Winding, 34.

Although thrilled at becoming a mum again, Brigitte confessed in an interview with People magazine recently that the thought of people mistaking her for the grandmother of the beautiful baby does worry her.

“I might not take her to school when the time comes. I’ll let my husband do it, because I don’t want people to say, ‘is that your grandmother taking you to school?’” she told People at the time

While having another child was something the model fought hard for, going through 10 years of in-vitro fertilisation treatment, she knows some might think she is too old. But that hasn’t stopped her urging other women not to give up on their hopes of becoming a mother later in life.

She said: “Some women think, ‘oh my God, I’m too old’. Well, yeah, I can understand people saying, ‘how dare she? But how many men have their first kids in their 60s and 70s and they never doubt it?

“Do I understand that [people] are a bit skeptical? Yes, I understand. I also totally respect the fact that not everybody likes it and agrees with it, but it is my life.”

Brigitte joins a long list of women having babies later in life. Nicole Kidman gave birth to her daughter Sunday Rose Urban, in 2008 when she was 41-years-old, Canadian performer Celine Dion had her twin boys Nelson and Eddy Angelil, in 2010 when she was 42-years-old and in 2017, Janet Jackson welcomed her first child, a boy named Eissa Al Mana, at the age of 51.

Did you welcome a baby later in life? Or have any of your loved ones begun parenthood again, years after first starting a family?
