Roger Daltry discovered he’d fathered three secret daughters in the 60s

The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has revealed he fathered three children during his rock ‘n roll heyday in the 1960s, but didn’t learn about their existence until they were adults. 

For years, Daltry, 74, believed he was the father to five children and went about his day-to-day life as a doting dad, but little did he know there were three more daughters he would soon meet.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Daltry revealed his never-before-seen daughters all contacted him following his 50th birthday after finding his name listed on adoption papers.

Noticing the family resemblance straight away, Daltrey told The Mirror he was full of joy at the discovery, welcoming them into the family with open arms.

“It was great – it’s all worked out. They stay in touch and they’re close, so that’s great,” he admitted. “I’ve tried to do my best about a situation that couldn’t change because it happened a long time ago.”

Apparently, the three children were born in the 1960s after the separation from his first wife Jacqueline Rickman and before he met his current wife Heather Daltrey.

The singer is also the father to Simon, 55, with Jacqueline; Mathias, 50, with Swedish model Elisabeth Aronsson; and Rosie, 46, Willow, 43, and Jamie, 37, with Heather.

Daltrey isn’t the only rocker who has made a shock discovery about unknown family members later in life. Actress and former model Liv Tyler was eight-years-old when she found out her father is none other than Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler.

Opening up about the emotional moment to Hello!, Tyler explained her mother, Bebe Buell was only young when she gave birth to Liv and there was much confusion surrounding who was her father.

“I kind of figured it out because he looked exactly like me and I have a sister named Mia who is a year younger than me and I saw her standing at the side of the stage at a concert and I was literally like looking at my twin,” she told the publication.

“She looked exactly like me and I looked at my mum and she had tears in her eyes and I kind of put it all together”.
