It’s the biggest night in Australian TV, promising wall to wall glamour from some of our most loved and glamorous stars of the small screen – and the 2018 TV Week Logie Awards did not disappoint.
Everyone from pregnant Carrie Bickmore, to her co-star Lisa Wilkinson, Georgie Gardner, Sonia Kruger and more stunned in floor-length ball gowns at the Star casino on the Gold Coast – the stunning new venue for the awards show.
Georgie stole the show early on in a vibrant floral patterned dress, showing off her figure as she posed for snaps in front of the sea of cameras and reporters.
The off-the-shoulder number combined a nostalgic, classy shape with some bright colours and she pulled it off perfectly. Wearing her shorter blonde hair loose to her shoulders, she kept her make-up minimal and glowed next to her fellow stars.
Giving her strong competition was pregnant Carrie Bickmore, who opted for a fitted sequinned dress – revealing just how much her baby bump has grown in recent weeks.
While she admitted to Starts at 60 she’d been suffering crippling morning sickness in recent weeks, she said she was determined to attend the party – and she looked sensational.
She was joined by her The Project co-star Lisa Wilkinson who once again won all the fashion points, this time in a green patterned dress.
With a plunging neckline and large purple flowers adorning the material, it stood out a mile off as the star smiled for photos outside.
Elsewhere, Sonia Kruger took a night off from mum duties and shone out in shimmering silver. The flimsy material clung to her figure, and she once again defied the years as she presented the red carpet for Channel Nine.
The 52-year-old star added sky-high stilettos to her outfit and flashed a beaming smile to cameras.
This year, gold nominees Amanda Keller, Grant Denyer and Tracey Grimshaw will go up against surprise nominees Andrew Winter, Jessica Marais and Rodger Corser.
It was over to Amanda to make an early and very glamorous entrance to the red carpet. The Living Room host, 56, opted for all-white in a plunging jacket and matching floor-length skirt.
The TV star pinned her short hair on one side, and left the other side loose, while adding some long earrings to top off the red carpet look.
Her competitor Grant Denyer looked very dapper in a smart suit for his big night, and was joined by wife Cheryl who opted for the sparkles theme in an eye-catching silver sequinned dress of her own.
They were joined by Kerri-Anne Kennerley who took a much deserved night off of her own and transformed completely in one of the brightest looks of the night.
The popular TV star, 64, looked over the moon to be at the event in its new home, and dressed for the occasion with flowing sleeves and a very low neckline on the gown.
And she wasn’t alone when it came to the colour, as Sylvia Jeffreys made an early and very dazzling entrance in a navy glittery dress.
The Today star changed her hair style up for the night, wearing it scraped back and pinned to the top of her head – showing off her elegant make-up perfectly.
They will join forces inside the main ceremony to crown the best talent of 2017 and 2018, and there’s bound to be some surprises in store.
