The ever-stylish Helen Mirren always knows how to make an entrance, and the film star’s latests outfit choice was no different as she stunned crowds in a polka dot ensemble at the weekend.
Mirren was all smiles as she arrived at Epsom Racecourse for the 2018 Epsom Derby on Saturday afternoon. And 72-year-old looked every bit the ‘queen’ of the gathering when she hit the race course with her husband Taylor Hackford, 73.
Mirren’s dress, which nipped her in at the waist featured an elegant polka dot design — a striking pattern that looked eye-catching without being busy.

Mirren had the races style nailed as she sported an elaborate black fascinator, which truly allowed her to stand out from the crowd.
She completed the ensemble with a matching coat, a black clutch and black peep-toe heels, with her silver locks pulled back in loose waves and her makeup classic with black liner and red lips. In all, Mirren looked beautifully dressed but not even slightly OTT.
Meanwhile, her husband looked dapper in a long tailcoat, a gold waistcoat, and grey pinstriped trousers. Finishing off the very dapper aesthetic, the 73-year-old showcased a grey top hat.

Though she undoubtedly looks good for her age, Mirren has admitted in the past that she does have a bit of cosmetic help to keep her looking young(ish). The actress recently had her eyebrows tattooed and now swears by the procedure.
“I was fed up of my brows barely being there, and when one of my girlfriends got it done, I thought they looked great”, she told Women & Home magazine in the UK. “They’re very lightly and delicately done, but it means that when I get up in the morning and I have no make-up on, at least I have eyebrows! It’s made a huge difference.”
