Disco chic! Nicole Kidman glows in sparkly, purple gown for movie premiere

Nicole Kidman has once again showed off her fabulous fashion sense, stepping out in a stunning purple frock for the premiere of her latest movie, Boy Erased. 

The award-winning actress glowed in the long, sparkly gown which featured a small flower pattern on the sleeves and hem, as she posed for photos on the red carpet.

Paired with simple silver heels and a chunky silver ring, the 51-year-old looked picture perfect for the event in Los Angeles on Monday, her long blonde locks framing her face beautifully.

The Eyes Wide Shut star has already been praised for her role in the much anticipated film Boy Erased, in which she plays the part of Nancy, a mother of a boy who is forced to take part in a gay conversion therapy program. 

Starring alongside fellow Aussies Russell Crowe and Joel Edgerton, Nicole puts on an emotional performance as her character struggles to stray from her strong religious beliefs and support her son.

There has also generated Oscar buzz among film critics, and many fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement ahead of its release.  

“This movie has Academy Awards written all over it!!! Best Adapted screenplay, Best Actors, Best Song… Mark my words!” one person commented.

“So good to finally see Russell and Nicole in one movie together. Can’t wait for this,” another added.

While a third said: “Omg, this movie looks amazing and Nicole Kidman looks absolutely gorgeous and so talented.”

Earlier this week, Nicole was spotted on the popular talk show Ellen where she took part in an interesting and highly amusing game with host Ellen DeGeneres.

The Moulin Rouge star was seen laughing hysterically as she tried to grab balls and stuff them down a pair of enormous pants, with herself in one leg and Ellen in the other.

The segment was posted on Instagram, with followers sharing in the hilarity of the game

Last week Nicole also opened up about her marriage to singer Keith Urban and the secret behind their loving relationship.

Speaking to Harpers Bazaar magazine, Nicole described her marriage to the country music star as “really good”, revealing they both make sure to switch off from the stresses of work when they’re at home in Nashville, USA, together.

“Obviously I work hard, but when I’m off, I’m off,” the 51-year-old Australia actress said. “Keith and I are very good at immediately clicking off because we have a really good life in Nashville that’s very simple, quiet and nourishing because we’ve made it like that.
