Blue beauty: Nicole Kidman is elegant in chic, sheer navy dress

She rarely puts a foot wrong on the red carpet and Nicole Kidman’s latest look has proved once again she knows how to work lady-like style to perfection.

The Australian actress was in London at the weekend to attend The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences new members reception at The National Gallery, and while she didn’t get to rub shoulders with royalty at Princess Eugenie’s wedding like many of the other celebrities in town for the day, she did prove herself the Queen of the fashion pack when it comes to enduring style.

Nicole look lovely at the glamorous event, sporting a navy dress that nipped in at the waist and featured sheer layering over a tasteful slip.

She paired the pretty frock with blue heels and a smattering of diamonds on her fingers.

The actress was in London to promote her upcoming movie, Destroyer, in which she plays LAPD detective Erin Bell, who is traumatised after going undercover with a gang in the California desert. Nicole is already being praised for the gritty performance, which saw her transform into a dishevelled shell of herself.

Her appearance in ol’ Blightly comes a week after she shared a clip of herself and husband Keith Urban singing a duet to celebrate the International Day of The Girl — a United Nations initiative that works to increase the awareness of inequality faced by young women around the world.

Nicole showed off her impressive singing skills alongside Keith in the heartwarming video captured by their daughters, 10-year-old Sunday and seven-year-old Faith. The couple sang the chorus to Keith’s hit single ‘Female’, which he wrote as a female anthem in response to the Harvey Weinstein scandal that kicked off the #MeToo movement.

The video has already amassed almost 500,000 views and is flooded with comments from fans who praised the pair for their skills.
