That’s one way to make an entrance! Melania Trump has arrived in Africa for her first solo international visit without husband Donald.
From the moment she stepped off the plane in the African nation of Ghana, the First Lady of the United States ensured all eyes were on her with one of her most stylish outfits to date. Despite travelling for hours on an overnight flight from the US, the 48-year-old looked fresh as she was greeted by Ghana’s First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
Melania opted for a stylish burgundy-and-white-striped Celine shirt dress for her arrival in Accra. The stunning outfit was complete with a matching tie and the mother-of-one decided to wear a gorgeous pair of white heels to match with her look.

She wore her luscious brunette locks down for the event and couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she greeted officials. Melania was treated to a welcoming ceremony before making her way to child health facilities to meet young children and their carers.
At one point, Melania was photographed cuddling a small child. She picked him up and couldn’t stop smiling at the adorable embrace.
Just last week, the former model announced she was heading to several African nations for her first international solo venture. At a reception in honour of United Nations General Assembly attendees, the First Lady explained she would be touring Ghana, Egypt, Kenya and Malwai.
The purpose of her visit is to communicate with officials from the four countries about how they handle issues confronting children. It’s all part of her “Be Best” campaign, which was first launched in May.
“Whether it is education, drug addiction, hunger, online safety or bullying, poverty or disease, it is too often children who are hit first, and hardest, across the globe,” she said at the time. “Each of us hails from a country with its own unique challenges, but I know in my heart we are united by our commitment to raising the next generation to be happy, healthy and morally responsible adults.”

Shortly before taking off earlier this week, Melania tweeted her excitement with a special video.
“We are taking off for Africa!” she gushed. “So looking forward to visiting Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt as I take Be Best international.”

In the video, she explained that Be Best was all about promoting kindness, compassion and respect in children.
“I have been honoured to meet children all over the world, with the goal of talking to them about the importance of healthy living and responsible habits,” she said. “While every country has its own sets of issues and challenges, I know we are united in our commitment to the next generation – our children.”
