She’s one of Australia’s favourite TV personalities and Kerri-Anne Kennerley has opened up about why she continues to get Botox.
The former Dancing with the Stars contestant, who has been open about having Botox and other procedures in the past, said it was up to people to make their own choices when it came to their appearance.
“I think people have to make their own decisions,” she told Starts at 60. “I do it because I want to, and it’s irrelevant what other people think.”
The former Good Morning Australia host also said the beauty process takes a little longer as we grow older.
“The older you get, the harder and longer it takes, it’s as simple as that,” she said.
The 63-year-old also revealed she got cosmetic procedures because she doesn’t to get frown lines and it makes her feel more confident in herself.

“In my family, everyone gets deep frown lines, I didn’t want that years ago and I don’t want it now,” she told Nine Honey. “I don’t want people controlling my life and I don’t want to control anyone else’s life but don’t be telling me what I can and cannot do. If you want to judge, then judge away.”
During that interview, the presenter said she also washes, exfoliates and moisturisers her skin to keep it looking fresh and healthy, noting she often changes brands to suit her needs.
The star, who is no stranger to health scares, also said it was up to individuals to maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet.
“We’re all so educated now on what’s good physical and nutritional good health, anyone that can read should be able to figure it out,” she recently told Starts at 60. “Just knowing what your trigger points are can be hugely helpful. So just try and manage those.”
Kerri-Anne isn’t the only Australian star who has admitted to using Botox. Former Studio 10 star Jessica Rowe revealed last year that she’s no stranger to the enhancers and explained exactly what occurs during a procedure.

“I get my Botox done by a qualified surgeon who really takes his time to look at your face and where you might need a ‘sprinkling’ of Botox,” she said. “He then uses a black marker to put dots on the places where he will inject the needles. He then injects those areas and it doesn’t hurt much and I figure that the pain is self-inflicted so I’m not going to complain! Afterwards my skin is a little red in the areas where I had the injections but that disappears pretty quickly.”
