When it comes to style inspiration for over-60s, it’s hard to go past Jane Fonda.
The 80-year-old actress pulled out another show-stopping look on Friday, this time rocking head-to-toe green at a Jane Fonda Master Class event in Lyon, France.
The actress stepped out in a seriously cool pair of patterned, green flares, which she matched with a sleek green sweater and a beaded necklace, throwing it back to the 1970s with flair.
Jane was in France to attend the Film Festival Lumiere in Lyon, where she participated in a master class with the Institut Lumiere director and Cannes chief Thierry Frémaux.
Jane, who is fluent in French, addressed the audience in their native language and had the crowd in stitches as she regaled her career and life in the spotlight.
According to Variety, the Book Club star spoke at length about her political activism, including her controversial 1972 trip to Vietnam that earned her the nickname ‘Hanoi Jane’.
“It helps to be in popular culture when you’re a militant, so I want to continue to be very popular in my work so that I can do better militancy,” she said to loud applause.

While Jane has aligned much of her career with her political and feminist views, she warned that outspoken activism wasn’t for everyone in the entertainment industry and that those who do speak out should only do so if they truly believe in the cause.
Throughout the talk, the Academy Award-winning actress also addressed her concerns with the Trump administration and the perception that racism is rising across the world.
“It’s the first time that racism is so obvious,” she said. “Activism has never been so strong and that’s the only thing for which I would thank Trump. … There won’t be a future if we don’t persist. It’s very dangerous.”
Later that evening, Jane was honoured with France’s Lumière Award at the Film Festival Lumiere for her contribution to the arts.
The whirlwind trip comes after the actress released her documentary Jane Fonda in Five Acts. The film features extensive interviews with the mother-of-three about her life, loves and career.

While she’s been busy hitting the promotional trial for the film over the past few months, the actress said she was happy to focus on her career after declaring she was done with dating after splitting from her long-term partner Richard Perry in 2017.
“I’m not dating anymore but I did up until a couple of years ago,” she told Extra. “I’m 80… I’ve closed up shop down there!”
