Michael Bublé’s wife pregnant following son’s cancer battle

It looks like Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato will soon be expecting the pitter-patter of little feet.

E! News this morning has confirmed that Luisana is pregnant with the couple’s third child. They reported that a rep for Michael confirmed the news, after British tabloids initially suggested that press in Argentina speculated that the couple were expecting.

According to The Sun, Argentinian journalist Laura Ufbal initially broke the news, claiming that the 30-year-old wife of Michael was two and a half months pregnant. They suggested that the couple were expecting to make the official announcement at the end of next Month, although E! News’ report hints that the cat may already be out of the bag.

Rumours began circulating when Laura, who is originally from Argentina, posted a photo of herself on Instagram wearing a loose shirt. Her brother, Dario, was also involved in an awkward TV appearance where he was caught off guard when asked if he was about to become an uncle again. “I wouldn’t be able to tell you,” The Sun reports him saying at the time.

The announcement of baby number three comes after the Bublé family went through their biggest battle to date. Their son, Noah, had been diagnosed with a rare liver cancer, forcing Michael to step down from his career and hectic touring schedule to care for his sick little boy. After a gruelling few months of chemotherapy and extensive hospital visits, Michael released a statement to suggest that the four-year-old was recovering well.

“We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy,” he said in a statement to Us Weekly. “He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. We thank God for the strength he has given all of us. Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words.”

With his son on the mend and a new baby on the way, Michael has slowly been returning to work. He is due to host the Juno Awards in Cananda next month, where he will then return to Argentina to be with Luisana’s family.

The new baby will be Michael’s third. In addition to little Noah, the couple have a two-year-old son named Elias. It is not yet known what the gender of the new baby is, with further details to be revealed in due course.
