With less than a week to go until Princess Eugenie marries Jack Brooksbank in a lavish wedding ceremony, royal fans across the world have been wondering whether the nuptials will be broadcast live as they were when Prince Harry married Meghan, Duchess of Sussex earlier this year.

The good news for royalists in Australia is there will be live coverage from inside St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Friday evening. From 7pm on October 12, 7 News will broadcast the second major royal wedding on 7, 7TWO and live on 7Plus for viewers in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia who will be delayed due to Daylight Saving Time.

The wedding is set to be attended by more than 850 guests including the Queen and Prince Philip, Prince Harry and Meghan, Prince William and Catherine, as well as celebrities including Victoria and David Beckham, George and Amal Clooney, Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran and Robbie Williams.

7 News presenter Michael Usher and Sunrise star Edwina Bartholomew will host the coverage, with live crosses to European correspondents situated at Windsor Castle. The coverage is also expected to include footage from the UK’s official broadcast on ITV, with analysis from British hosts Eamonn Holmes OBE and Ruth Langsford.

Thousands of people are expected to line the streets of Windsor to catch a glimpse of Eugenie in her wedding dress, although if the coverage of Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding is anything to go by, there will be plenty to see on TV.

Buckingham Palace previously revealed further details about Eugenie and Jack’s special day last month. The service will kick off at 11am UK time with the Dean of Windsor, The Rt Revd. David Conner officiating the ceremony. The Archbishop of York, the Most Revd. And Rt. Hon. John Sentamu will lead the prayers.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank have been touched by the many good wishes they have received in the run up to their Wedding on 12th October 2018,” a palace spokesperson said in a statement at the time. “They are looking forward to celebrating with their family, friends, and members of the public within the Castle grounds and in Windsor.”

Last week, Eugenie hinted she was getting ready for her big day. In what could be a hint of the 28-year-old’s style for the wedding, the Princess of York shared a sultry black and white photograph from a Harper’s Bazaar photo shoot on Instagram.

Shot by photographer Alex Bramall, the gorgeous Princess could be seen smiling as she stared off happily into the distance. She also wore a floral outfit and earrings for the shoot.
