‘Growing older is a privilege’: Jane Seymour on feeling ‘sensual’ at 67

Jane Seymour may be best known for her role in 1973’s James Bond movie Live and Let Die, before enjoying a string of roles in the limelight in the decades following the film’s success, but she’s admitted she feels “freer” and “more sensual” now than she did 30 years ago.

Appearing on UK TV show This Morning, the 67-year-old beauty explained she now sees getting older as a privilege, having sadly lost three of her closest friends within the space of a year.

In fact, she ended up celebrating her age by modelling for Playboy magazine earlier this year, and told the show it had felt “important” for her to embrace her body in the stunning photos.

According to the Mail Online, she said on camera: “I felt it was important to show you could be comfortable in your own skin, to be authentically you and to still feel viable as a sensual woman at any age. I mean just because I have a number 67 doesn’t mean that inside of me. For me, I feel freer now than I did when I was 30 or 40.”

She added: “If you are enjoying life and you have a positive spirit, you will probably look better, live longer and the best facelift is a smile.”

Jane revealed she’s enjoying her 60s more than ever, and while she was left heartbroken by her friends’ deaths, it made her appreciate life and getting older more than ever.

“Growing older is actually a privilege,” she reportedly said on the show. “Sadly, I lost 3 of my closest friends last year, who were the same age as me.

“So for me to be here and even having this discussion is a huge privilege. So growing older is something I embrace because it means I’m around.”

The former Bond girl proved yet again that beauty is ageless by stripping down in her Playboy shoot in February. It marked the third time she had posed for the men’s magazine, having previously done so in 1973 and 1986.

The adored English actress shared an image from the shoot to social media with the caption: “I’m THRILLED to finally share this with you! I was recently photographed and interviewed in my home by Playboy.”
