The Queen is often treated to a stunning performance by one of her incredible royal bands, but it’s not every day that fans can share in the experience too.

Now, as the world celebrates ABBA all over again with the release of new movie Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! it seems the royal family are just as excited.

It was previously rumoured that the Queen herself is a huge fan of all things Mamma Mia! – in fact, her favourite song was said to be Dancing Queen. Now, a new video shared by the royal family’s social media channels appears to confirm the rumours are true.

Her Majesty and her loyal fans were treated to a rendition of the hit song by The Band of the Royal Logistic Corps – one of the 22 Bands in the Corps of Army Music – during the Changing of the Guard on Friday.

Crowds of people could be seen peering in through the railings as the stunning performance took place to mark the start of the weekend.

The message on Twitter read: “Can you guess this tune? # FridayFeeling Beautiful played by @TheRLCBand during Changing the Guard at # BuckinghamPalace.”

Of course it’s one of the most well known songs in the world, after global hit band ABBA first released it in 1976.

It comes after BBC TV and radio star Chris Evans previously claimed in 2008 that the Queen had told a friend of his, who was attending a royal dinner at the time, that she loved to dance to the song.
