Princess Eugenie pokes fun at Beatrice with unseen childhood photograph

She’s one of the few royal family members allowed to have her own social media account and Princess Eugenie is letting the world know that she’s extremely close with her family.

In addition to sharing updates of her charity work and royal engagements, the 28-year-old uses her Instagram page to show her love and appreciation for her family. Earlier this week it was time for older sister Princess Beatrice to be shown some love.

Sharing a vintage and previously unseen photograph of herself with her sister when she was younger, Eugenie cheekily poked fun at her sister’s style as a child.

“#tbt [Throw Back Thursday] to when Beatrice wore the same outfit all the time and I loved her for it,” she wrote to her 644,000 Instagram followers.

In the photograph, a very young Eugenie and Beatrice could be seen cuddling as they smiled happily into the camera. Eugenie wore a colourful floral dress, while her older sister opted for a red and white polka dot skirt and green top. Judging by Eugenie’s comment, her sister’s outfit was one she loved and didn’t change very often.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the sweet moment between the siblings and flooded the photograph with messages.

One person wrote: “Y’all were adorable then and adorable now! Many blessings to you both!”

Another comment read: “You remind me of my two oldest daughters. So so sweet and best friends. Love to you both!!”

A third added: “What a gorgeous photo! I have two little girls, a couple of years apart and can’t wait to capture moments like this.”

It’s not the first time she’s shared unseen family photos with her fans. She recently shared another childhood photograph of herself and her sister with scrunchies in their hair.

And, earlier this month, she shared another adorable snap – this time of herself as a toddler with Sarah Ferguson. Both were decked in colourful winter gear.

“All this snow got me remembering how cool mum and I were in the 90s #flashbackfriday @sarahferguson15,” she wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, Sarah has also paid tribute to Beatrice. She took to her Instagram page earlier this week with a photograph of herself with her 30-year-old daughter.

“Delighted to attend @streetchilduk discussion on the importance of education in emergencies with my daughter Beatrice at the House of Lords last night,” she said. “So proud Beatrice has joined as an ambassador for the charity.”
