Princess Charlotte is growing up so fast! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have delighted fans with the release of four new adorable photos of Princess Charlotte to mark her fifth birthday. The four photographs were released on social media on Friday evening, ahead of Charlotte’s special day on May 2.

They were taken by her mother Catherine last month at the Sandringham Estate, where the family helped to pack up and deliver food packages for isolated pensioners in the local area. Wearing a navy-blue checked dress, the young royal can be seen happily packing up the deliveries and knocking on local doors in the series of images.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share four new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fifth birthday tomorrow,” a post alongside the images read. “The images were taken by The Duchess as the family helped to pack up and deliver food packages for isolated pensioners in the local area.”

Many royal followers wished the princess a happy birthday, with one writing: “She is beautiful.” Another commented: “Happy birthday sweet Charlotte!” While another said: “Beautiful. She is such a mature young lady.”

While others couldn’t believe how much she looks like her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth, with one person saying: “Look how cute she is! She looks like a mini version of the Queen. Love her.”

The release of the new snaps comes just one week after the family celebrated little Louis’ second birthday. Prince William and Catherine shared a series of unseen photographs of their youngest child via the Kensington Royal Instagram page in April.

In the images, Louis looks remarkably grown-up and bears a striking resemblance to his older brother, Prince George. Wearing a blue checked button-up shirt, the toddler can be seen smiling broadly and reaching towards the camera in the first image, with brightly coloured paint all over his hands.

The second image shows the prince’s artwork, a rainbow-coloured handprint in support of the National Health Service, while the remaining two images show Louis’ more playful side as he holds his hands up beside his head and laughs during the photo shoot with his mum.
